Dance Classes

Below you will find information about each class offered.

Ballet

A classical ballet program that focuses on technique, terminology, flexibility and overall strength training. Barre, center and across the floor. Each level of curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Jazz

Your child will learn proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns.  Class is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement. Broadway, Street and Contemporary Jazz will all be taught. 

Hip Hop

High-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping and much more! Encouraging students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual styles and personalities to the floor. Students will build stamina and strength to properly execute tricks and body movements.  

Acro

Acrobatic dance incorporates tumbling and flexibility skills with the beauty and execution of dance. Technique includes balancing, partnering, contortion, and strength.

Parent & Me

This class focuses on basic warm up movements, group dances, games and activities, and the fundamentals of being in a class environment. 

Lyrical/Contemporary

Designed for the student with previous years of ballet training. Taking the training from ballet, jazz and modern and interpreting the lyrics of the music. Telling a story with body movement and emotions. Fluidity and abstract body movements. 

Tap

Designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of Broadway and Street style tap. Exercises will focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. Developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun! 

Stretch, Strength & Leaps

Focusing on the absolute range of movement in a joint or series of joints, and length in muscles that cross the joints to induce a bending movement or motion. Examples: "Flexistretcher", resistance bands, calf and foot stretching. Along with a consintration of a variety of leg holds. and leaps.

Mini Combo Classes

Mini Combo classes include ballet/tap or Jazz/Acro. These are perfect classes for young dancers to begin exploring different genres of dance!

Private Lessons

Private lessons are offered in 30 or 60 minutes increments to provide dancers with one-on-one sessions with instructors.
